Annette Baldenegro, Licenced Massage Therapist

My philosophy is that true health and well being is a cooperative state between an individual's mind, body, and spirit. As a health care professional, it is my honor and obligation to work with the client, in cooperation with their other health care providers, to support their journey to wellness as the client feels is best for them. As a massage therapist, I can provide therapeutic massage to address specific issues of the body, overall relaxation massage to support the spirit, and energy work to help balance the mind/body/spirit connection.

I graduated with honors from The Boulder College of Massage Therapy, a 1000 hour certification program, in 2004. In 2005 I completed my degree in Massage Therapy as well as Advanced Certificates in Orthopedic and Sports Massage and in Zen Shiatsu representing over 1700 hours in training! As part of my training, I interned with the medical staff at Boulder Community Hospital, working with patients in the oncology, maternity, and surgery wards. I also received training at Craig Hospital, a spinal injury rehabilitation clinic. I have worked with athletes from University of Colorado, The Colorado Crush, Cirque du Soleil: Varekai, and The Aerial Dance Troupe as well as recreation level golfers, bicyclists, hockey and softball players.

I am certified by The National Certification Board of Massage Therapy and Bodywork (NCTMB #429635-00), and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and licensed through the State of Tennessee (LMT #6537).

I have extensive training and experience working with pathologies such as Low Back Pain, Sciatica, Thoracic Outlet, Carpal Tunnel, Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), Piriformis & various Compartment Syndromes, Whiplash & Rotator Cuff Injuries, Myofacial Pain, Fibromyalgia, and Tension & Migraine Headaches.

While in living and practicing in Colorado, I worked in conjunction with doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists. My plans are to build similar relationships here in Chattanooga with the medical community and to serve the public in their quest for health and well being. I believe that massage and bodywork is key to opening the inner self to healing by not only addressing specific symptoms of dysfunction, but by helping the client learn about their body and it's functions and to help them understand the impact of today's stress and toxin filled world.
