My philosophy is that true
health and well being is a cooperative state
between an individual's mind,
body, and spirit. As a health care professional, it is my honor and
obligation to work with the client, in cooperation with their other
health care providers, to support their journey to wellness as the
client feels is best for them. As a massage therapist, I can provide
therapeutic massage to address specific issues of the body, overall
relaxation massage to support the spirit, and energy work to help
balance the mind/body/spirit connection. |

I have a sound fundamental
knowledge of Pilates exercises and philosophy. I have been very
successful in teaching and motivating students and can modify the
exercises as needed to provide variations to support the student's
needs.

In
1976 yoga found me. I
wasn’t really looking for anything different in my life or so I
thought. It was what centered me in my twenties. Yoga helped
de-stress me in my thirties. I began formal training in my forties
and was encouraged to share my knowledge and practice. With sixteen
years of teaching, many yogis have influenced my style. Betty Ray who
taught me to teach from the heart had the most profound effect.
Particular attention to the B.K.S. Iyengar view of alignment in the
poses is the basis for my classes. My goal is to share what I can to
help others live longer with joy and greater usefulness. |
